A taste of Surrealism

Here’s a link to a Boing Boing post celebrating the birthday of late great Luis Bunuel, one of the great filmakers of our time, as well as one of the fathers of the Surreaslist classic Un Chien Andalou, which you can watch on the same page. Made with Salvador Dali, the film tackles the psychosomatic and psychosexual dreams and fantasies made popular by the writings of Freud and Jung. When it was first shown, the film caused a riot.  Watching it now, it still has some effect! Just a warning, has some squeamishly graphic content (relax, it’s really just a dead cow’s eye!)
