Structure

I believe that classroom management is key in assisting students towards finding success. Without order comes chaos, and if a classroom is not well structured, then students and teachers will both face many hurdles throughout the school year that will impede student growth.

Both Barbara Coloroso and Harry Wong have provided a wealth of information to me through their videos and books. I have learned, and practiced through my internship, methods of creating a consistent environment of routines and procedures students can follow in order to find success for themselves. It has also provided me with ways in which I can successfully handle behaviour problems in which all parties can benefit. By offering consistency to the students through classroom expectations, students come to find that school has been set up for them to succeed.
